Logging in – students and personnel

 

Every employee of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn has an account in the identity management system, which enables them to access the University's IT systems. To log in to the library service, go to the UWM Library catalogue page and click “Sign in” in the top right-hand corner.

A new window will appear. This is essential because students and personnel can log in only with a “UWM organisational account”.

 

Enter your identifier in the next window: 

• a student’s identifier has the following general form student_registration_number@student.uwm.edu.pl
• an employee’s identifier has the following general form file_number@uczelnia.uwm.edu.pl 

and click “Next”.

 

Depending on whether you are a student or an employee, you will be taken to the corresponding page, where you will be required to provide the password. Subsequently, students will be taken to a page which looks like in the image below

 

whereas employees will be taken to a page looking like in the following image.

 

What should I do if I forget my password?

If you are a student and you don’t remember or don’t know your password, go to konto.student.uwm.edu.pl. Log in to this page with your USOS data and you can set a new password to log in to the student.uwm.edu.pl domain.

If you are an employee and you forgot your password, go to pracownik.uwm.edu.pl, click “I don’t remember my password?" and fill in the form to reset your password. The whole password-changing procedure is described here. Please remember that the system will force all employees to change their passwords every 60 days.

Logging in – users unaffiliated with the UWM

If you are in no way affiliated with the UWM and do not have an account in the identity management system, click “Sign in” in the top right-hand corner.

In the next window click “Log in with: The library account”.

 

Subsequently, enter your PESEL number as the identifier and your password to your library account. 

 

What should I do if I forget my password (this applies only to users unaffiliated with the UWM)?

If you don’t remember your password, you can use the link to the password reset page under the log in data. You will be taken to the page where you will enter your identifier.

A link will be sent to the e-mail address provided for the account. You can also go to the UWM Library Informatorium and request to change your password.

What should I do if I don’t have an account and I want to use the UWM Library collection?

You can go to the UWM Library Informatorium and register a new account or use the form under this link.
